Welcome to Bayou Barn
Bayou Barn is a unique casual, open air dance hall and catering facility. We are located on Bayou des Families in Crown Point, Louisiana which is approximately 20 miles south of New Orleans. Our facility is available for live music venues, private event rental, weddings, and corporate parties. Additionally, we are the major outlet for canoe, kayak and paddleboat rentals for trips into Jean Lafitte National Park and Wildlife Preserve.
Bayou Barn does its own on-site catering and makes its own line of Cajun seasonings. We have seating for up to 200 people under our covered pavilion area and the lanscaped grounds can hold up to 700 persons. We have an on-site Cajun gift shop with a variety of specialty items. Take a trip down the bayou and see what we have to offer or as the locals say, "pass a good time". See ya soon cher!
April 6th Special Event
Free Food and Music. April 6th, 5:00pm – 8:00pm.
We have been working on some big news for a while and are so thrilled to finally share it with you. AT&T Uverse has selected Bayou Barn as a site for filming their upcoming on the road Food Network show called “Digital Kitchen”. They will be on-site April 6th, Good Friday, for some down home Cajun cooking. We will be serving up Cochon de Lait (Whole Suckling Pig) hand seasoned with spicy garlic, hot sauces and Cajun blended seasonings then slow roasted and hand turned over an open fire pit for 12 hours by a team of Cajun cooks. We will also be serving spicy Cajun boiled crawfish, a Good Friday staple. LIVE music provided by Southern Image Cajun Band.
This event is open to the public and AT&T will be filming the crowd as they taste the food. Come on down the Bayou and see what the talk is all about – you may be on TV! It’s gonna be a hot time on the Bayou for sure. Free to the public. Free food and Music. Free Fun for all.

April News

Well, the weather has been beautiful here and we can hardly keep up with the requests for Crawfish Boils. Tis’ the season for those delectable succulent morsels of tail meat, that is at the heart of Cajun cuisine. Around here, we take pride in preparing Crawfish (aka “Mudbugs”) in many different ways, but my favorite is Crawfish Etoufee.

This is a wonderful dish of Crawfish tails smothered with onions, peppers, and celery, also called "the trinity", in a heavenly stew of spices and tomatoes and served over rice. Pair this dish with and ice cold beer and “Lassiez les bon temps rouler”. See ya soon, cher!!
